How to get new yahoo email account without existing alternate email account?

I am establishing email accounts for my students in order to keep in touch with them. However, I cannot complete the application without entering an alternative email address. They do not have an existing account. How do I skip this box or what can I enter in that box. I've already tried to put my email address there and also the new email address I'm establishing. Please advise. Thanks
