How to deactivate yahoo messenger without cancelling email account?

Is it possible to delete my yahoo messenger account without deleting my e-mail address?


I use MSN messenger and I wanted to use yahoo just as email account and hotmail (MSN) as messenger.

Reply:just uninstall yahoo messenger or drag it to your recycle bin and put it in there, you don't have to anything other than just not sign into it.
Reply:yes it is easy. Just go to your add/remove programs, chose yahoo messenger and remove. That will take only messenger out and leave your mail.
Reply:Just go to programs and features%26gt;Yahoo messenger%26gt;uninstall





And it SHOULD remove all components of the program from the computer.
