How can I access my cancelled Rogers email account?

I cancelled my rogers service, and didn't realize my email would also be cancelled. The rep told me I could access it by having someone add my address to their account but I'm not sure how this is done.

Sounds like you were given inaccurate information. Once the Internet account is cancelled, all online messages tied into E-mail addresses on this account are deleted. The E-mail addresses themselves are "locked" for a period of 60-days during which no one else can claim this address. The only way this address can be restored during this period is if you re-activate your original Internet account. After 60-days, the address is released and at that point it can be claimed by anyone. You can confirm this information with Rogers Hi-Speed Internet Tech support at 1-888-288-4663.

Reply:You best contact the rep again and ASK for detailed instructions as to how to do it, for if you check the Yahoo! help pages, it clearly says that once you close your account, all data in it will be lost!
