You will need to backup your Outlook.pst file from your old computer. It can be found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
Copy that to a CD/DVD/USB Drive, etc.
Then install Outlook on the new computer and start it. Set up the account settings, username, mail servers, etc. and then close Outlook.
Copy the Outlook.pst file form your CD/DVD/USB drive, etc. to the same location on your new computer.
Start Outlook and you should see all your emails, contact, etc. there.
** If you do not see Local Settings, go to Tools menu %26gt; Folder Options %26gt; and under the View tab, check "Show hidden files and folders"
Reply:Call geeks on call and they can basically hack into your computer and do it for you free of no cost and it only takes seconds... just call them and turn off your computer when they tell you too. they will do it for you and they will not put viruses on your computer or anything because you can sew them for everything lost. they dont want to be sewed so they will do there job and be done.
Reply:You can't really "transfer" the settings, you can however set it up again.....you can export all your emails and addresses to an external source, whether its a cd, a flash drive, or you could also export them all to mail to yourself.
You have to setup your account according to your email clients settings...for instance.....if you have an email address that ends in @sbcglobal.net, your pop (incoming) server is pop.mail.sbcglobal.net and your smtp (outgoing) is smtp.mail.sbcglobal.net
You'll also need to enter your userid and password.....once you have your settings for the email, then its just a matter of importing the rest of the info.

Why aren't emails from my work domain being delivered to a yahoo email account?
We don't send bulk mailings, just an occassional email to a client with a yahoo address. Any emails from our domain are undelivered and no bounceback message is produced. Our clients are also unable to find the message in their bulk folder. Just sent myself a test email and despite my work address being in my contacts, no email is received. Please help!

But, you do not need to cancel that account, you can fight the spam, you know.
You can not completely stop all spam, but you can help to put a big dent in it.
First, try not to open any of them, that only makes them send more and more to you.
Check mark them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox.
Use your spam filter and block address.
Look for the 'Options' link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it

make sure spam guard is on, click on save changes

Enter the E-mail address you wish blocked and click on 'add block'
you will never get mail from that address again.
This should help you to control your spam.

Why cant i log on to my email account?

I have an hotmail email account, and i was wondering, does it cost anything to link my email account to the ipod touch? ( i have only been on the ipod for like five minutes, because i just had to set it up and put it away for xmas :P.So i havent looked into the feature in detail.

Okay, so I was wondering if it's at all possible to delete my hotmail EMAIL account, so I won't recieve email's throught that address anymore, but on the other hand, I still want to keep my MSN Messenger w/ that same address. I don't know what to do, and I was hoping somebody would.

Well do as the person above says, sign up for an email account with GMail.com and use that email to get yourself a Y! account.

Why could be wrong with my email account?
I have been unable to set up my O2 LG Renoir phone to access my yahoo mailbox. Using the pop3 setting I get "login failed" as an error message. When I use the Yahoo mobile set up instructions and imap4 it still does not work, it just reboots my phone after trying to sync. I have been able to access test hot mail and yahoo accounts I have created, I just cant access my pre exisiting Yahoo mail account.

I loose internet connection and it restarts. Or a pop up will tell me that my old session has expired (again this happens upon sign in) and ask that I restart the previous session or the new session. My school email account is filled up well above %100 becuase we only get like 20MB of space. How do i get into my hubbys old deleated email account and bring up old files on the computer?
Hubby has had internet affair i need to be sure it was a one off, i need answers quickly as he is due to go to Afghanistan this Monday. Need peace of mind to cope with him being 8 months away and trusting him.

Reply:if its on hotmail just click deleted it shows them but they remain in deleted box rather than saving again or you could check history for used websites use his login but say you forgot password and they giva a clue to remember it good luck

I have hundreds of emails that I need to keep for reference. I want to cancel my Yahoo account and send these older, saved emails to my gmail account. Any way to bulk send them?

Company doesnt shut down my email account, instead allows them to accumulate after i dont pay them for 2 month?
i had an email account and service agreement with a service provider, did not pay my last 2 months bills, and instead of shutting down my service they left it open and continued to accept emails, however i could not access them. there wasnt a term in the contract about dealing with non payments.
Because of this i missed a job opportunity and other important information. could I sue them?

Why pay for e-mail.
I have never given Yahoo a penny.
Even if I run into tough times I can always go to the library or a friends house and check my e-mail.

But if so, and somebody also pick it, they can get the e-mails that you once received legally. But anyhow, why have you not giving out your new e-mail address out. hmm. seems kinda weird that you haven't.

Email sent to your account will bounce back to the sender.
Judging by your description of the problem, your account was not temporarily suspended but completely deleted due to violations of YA rules. If those violations are severe enough, Yahoo does not only delete a YA account, but also all other Yahoo services connected to your user ID, incl. mail and Flickr for example. They can and will do so without prior warning and usually also without a detailed description of the reasons, sorry.

yes the other person will get whats called mailer daemon usually saying user does not exist.

How do I change the email account that is associated with my windows logon screen?
There is a notification of how many unread email messages I have. This shows up under my name in the windows logon screen. I think by default it is set to the hotmail account or something similar. I want it set to my gmail account or to Outlook Express which my gmail account runs through.

Good luck on getting an answer on this one....Being I want to know the same thing also...There's a (program?) on my system configuration startup ...I erase it, but it keeps coming back with a different name....And I can't even erase it in (c:windows\System32) folder...Also there's a program, in my Add or Remove Programs page called "Command"....Which I can't erase either, it ends in (.vbs)...Not sure if this is the program....I let my 19 year old son use my computer...And somehow this program got installed...He had loaded Yahoo IM...And I was able to delete it, but not the program called "Command"???...Guess, I'll just have to call Yahoo Tech. Support..Being I can't seem to find any info or "Answers" on this.... Here or on My Yahoo at all....Steve
