How do you text someone through your email account?

I want to text someone using my email account (cuz i dont hav unlimited on my phone). i also want to know how u know your own email address number. sry if its a little confusing. Please help. THX

if the person is from alltel you can go on alltel.com and there is a send a text thing.. but you do the number with area code. then do @message.(cellphoneprovider).com ##########@message.alltel.com
Reply:i dont think you can text them using e-mail...what you can use is Yahoo Messenger...if your friend has an account of YM add him/her then theres an option there that you can put in their mobile number and maybe you can text them after that....lol
